Terraflora - a house in the North Carolina woods

What it is

A place to bring your people.

Terraflora is a house on a wooded hillside in Trap Hill, North Carolina, about twenty minutes from Elkin. It opens in 2027.

You rent the whole house, not a room. If you run retreats, workshops or trainings, it's a venue you bring your own work into. If you just want a few days away with your family or your friends, you can book it for that instead.

There's no program here and nothing you have to sign up for. You get the house, the kitchen, the deck and the woods, and you decide what happens in it.

Run your retreat here

If you teach yoga, movement, women's work, breathwork or anything that needs a few days and a real place, rent Terraflora as your venue. It stays your retreat, under your name, for your people. We keep the house ready.

Host a smaller gathering

Trainings, planning weekends, team offsites, family reunions, milestone birthdays. Anything that needs a real house instead of a hotel conference room. Everyone ends up around the kitchen island. That's the idea.

The house

What you actually get.

Cedar and blackened steel on the outside, so it sits in the trees instead of on top of them.

Opening in two stages

The main floor opens in 2027. The lower level comes later and adds a second suite with a full bath, a wood burning stove, and a big open room with windows into the forest.

●Kitchen, dining and living room all in one open space, so nobody cooks alone in another room
●A sixteen foot glass door that opens the living room straight onto the deck
●A covered deck along the whole back of the house, facing the woods
●A covered front porch, deep enough to sit out in the rain
●Glass railings, so the view isn't broken up by posts
